Rye Wine, a strong and robust English ale, literally translated as "rye wine," is a natural successor to its predecessor, Barley Wine. The term "Wine" in its name doesn’t refer to the presence of grapes, but rather to the high alcohol content—12%—which resembles that of a wine. This beer has been aged for 12 months in oak barrels that previously held Moldovan divine Moldovan, enriching and complexing its flavor. Rye Wine greets the senses with aromas of crystallized fruits and caramel, then opens up with notes of oak and vanilla. The rye malt gives the beer a dense, almost viscous texture, heightened by its sweetness and spicy undertones.
